Getting to Turku

By Air

Turku airport can be reached by direct flights from Helsinki, Stockholm (Sweden), and Copenhagen (Denmark). Depending on flight timetables, chances are that you find a good flight connection via one of these three cities on your way to and from Turku. The small airport at Turku is about 8 kilometres from the city centre and the congress hotel Spa Hotel Caribia. You can take a taxi directly to the congress hotel (located about 1.5 kilometres from the city centre) for approximately 20 euros. There is also a bus connection to the Market Square at the city centre (2.50 euros). From the Market Square you can reach the congress hotel by buses 30, 50, 51, 53 and 54 (bus stop right in front of the congress hotel). If your arrival time to Turku Airport is after the last bus and there is no taxi to be found, you can order one by using the free-of-charge service phone which is located near the exit on the arrivals level of the terminal.

If your final destination is the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, you can also take an express bus leaving approximately every hour to the Turku bus station. Please note that there may be one bus transfer on the way (you just move yourself from one bus to another and your items stored in the luggage compartment of the bus will be transferred to the Turku-bound bus by the personnel). The bus trip takes about 2.5 hours. You can then take a taxi from the Turku bus station to the congress hotel (about 1.5 kilometres).

By Train

In case you spend some time in Helsinki prior to the meeting, you can also take a train to Turku. There are two railway stations in Turku: the first one, called the Kupittaa station, is a bit closer to the congress hotel than the Main Railway station. You can then take a taxi from the Kupittaa station to the congress hotel (about 1.5 kilometres).

By Ferry

There are two cruise lines, Viking Line and Silja Line,  that have regular connections between Stockholm and Turku. The port of Turku  is approximately 2 kilometres from the city centre and you can either take a taxi directly to the congress hotel or a local bus to the Market Square at the city centre.
