January 29, 1999

Dear Colleague:

This mailing includes the Call for Papers for the 37th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Aphasia. You will find enclosed the General Guidelines for submitting abstracts as well as a copy of the Information Sheet that should accompany your submission. A separate information sheet must accompany each abstract. An electronic version is available at our Web site: http://cortex.neurology.umab.edu/academy. Abstracts should be sent electronically to luci@ebire.org and must be received by April 1, 1999. Alternatively, you may mail a disk and 8 hard copies of your abstract to: Luci Varian, Academy of Aphasia Administrative Assistant, c/o East Bay Institute for Research and Education, 150 Muir Road, (126S), Martinez, CA 94553. This, too, must be received prior to April 1, 1999. There will be no exceptions to this submission deadline. The Program Committee will notify you of its decision by email, so your email address must accompany each electronic submission. If you wish to receive notification of the Program Committee’s decision by surface mail, you must enclose a label with each submitted abstract so that we can inform you of the decision of the Program Committee.

The Program Committee welcomes all types of experimental and theoretical papers from any field that contributes to the study of language and its disruption, including linguistics, neurology, psychology, computational models, and speech-language pathology.

We look forward to seeing you in Venice, Italy this October.

Sincerely,

Lorraine Tyler, Ph.D.
